Children & Young People (0–25)
A safe, inclusive space where neurodivergent children and young people can thrive, grow and belong.
About
The children & young people's programme at NDC.
Every child and young person deserves to feel understood. At Neurodiverse Community CIC, our experienced team creates safe, sensory-friendly sessions designed around the real needs of neurodivergent young people — not a one-size-fits-all approach.
From creative play and sensory exploration to social skills groups and youth empowerment sessions, every young person is supported as an individual. We work with children, siblings and young people aged 0–25, with or without a diagnosis.
Individualised support
Every young person who comes to NDC is met where they are. We take the time to understand their needs, interests and communication style – and we build from there. No pressure, no expectations, just genuine support.
- Person-centred sessions tailored to each individual's strengths, interests and sensory needs
- Flexible approaches that adapt to different communication styles and learning preferences
- Creative activities including art, music, movement and sensory exploration
- Confidence-building opportunities that encourage problem-solving, self-expression and independence
- Life skills development in a relaxed, supportive environment
- Safe, inclusive spaces designed to reduce anxiety and sensory overwhelm
Our sessions
Our groups are designed to be fun, inclusive and empowering — helping young people build confidence, friendships and skills at their own pace.
Our Approach
At NDC, everything we do is shaped by lived experience. Our team of parent carers and specialists use hands-on, inclusive methods to help children and young people thrive — at their own pace.
- Sensory Explorers: Hands-on sensory play sessions designed to support regulation and engagement
- Creative Expression: Art, music and drama activities that build confidence and communication skills
- Social Skills Groups: Structured but relaxed sessions helping young people navigate friendships and social situations
- Outdoor & Nature Sessions: Using outdoor environments to encourage exploration, movement and calm
- Youth Groups: Age-appropriate groups where young people connect, share experiences and build independence
- STEM & Discovery: Fun, accessible science and technology activities that spark curiosity and problem-solving
