About
the preschool care program at Skole
Military life brings unique pressures — frequent relocations, deployment, transition to civilian life, and navigating SEND systems that change with every posting. At NDC, many of our team have lived experience of forces life, so we understand these challenges first-hand.
Our armed forces programme provides peer-led support, practical guidance and a genuine community for serving personnel, veterans and their families — whether you’re based in Catterick, Windsor or anywhere in between.
Tailored to Forces Life
Every forces family’s situation is different. Whether you’re dealing with SEND assessments mid-posting, supporting a child through yet another school move, or navigating the transition out of service — we meet you where you are and build support around your specific circumstances.
- SEND Navigation: Help with EHCPs, school placements and local authority processes — especially when you've just been posted to a new area
- Peer Support Groups: Connect with other forces families who understand the lifestyle, the moves and the pressures
- Transition Support: Practical guidance for veterans and those leaving service, including employment support and accessing civilian services
- Wellbeing & Mental Health: Safe spaces to talk, decompress and access signposting to specialist support
- Family Activities: Inclusive sessions for the whole family — building connections and reducing isolation
- Armed Forces Covenant Support: We're a Covenant-friendly organisation and can help you access the support you're entitled to
Preschool program
Preschool is a big year. We’ve designed our program to give you complete confidence in every aspect of your child’s experience; from health and safety; to ready-for-school curriculum; to the full support of experienced teachers. Just as important, our program is based on what research says best prepares children for kindergarten…and all the big steps ahead.
Safety, security, and cleanliness practices that meet or exceed all state, local, and national guidelines
